Citigroup (NYSE:C) planea lanzar custodia de Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) para clientes institucionales a finales de este año, permitiéndoles mantener activos criptográficos y tradicionales a través del mismo marco.

Qué está lanzando Citi realmente

Según un comunicado de prensa de Citi el martes, la custodia de Bitcoin forma parte de Custody+, una nueva suite de soluciones de custodia en tiempo real que el banco lanzó junto con la finalización de su despliegue en EE. UU. de la tecnología Single Event Processing. 

La plataforma ahora procesa más del 80% del volumen de servicios de activos de Citi en tiempo real, reduciendo los tiempos de procesamiento para acciones corporativas voluntarias hasta en un 92%.

La propuesta central para los clientes institucionales es la simplicidad. Los valores tradicionales y la custodia de criptomonedas se encuentran dentro del mismo marco integrado, por lo que los clientes no necesitan una infraestructura separada para cada uno.
