Bitcoin Bull Says Cancer Took Both Parents By 18, Thought He’d Die Young Too—Until He 'Uncovered a Hack'

Willy Woo, a well-known Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) advocate and cryptocurrency analyst, recounted how nonstop world travel after a tough chapter altered his view of life.

The ‘Hack’ After Dread

In an X post from Sept. 12, Woo said that after losing both parents to cancer by the age of 18, a deep sense of negativity took hold, and he started believing he too would die young.

For the next 10 years, he lived with this dread until he finally uncovered a “hack.”

“At 28, I quit my corporate engineering job and traveled the world. A new place every 2-3 days,” Woo stated. “I lived a lifetime in that 6-month trip.”

Woo Started Chasing ‘Newness’

Those six months felt like two years to Woo, yet only two months to his colleagues—a phenomenon he described as "12x time compression."

The Bitcoin maximalist said the world trip gave him a new sense of purpose.

“I went on to quit my job, started businesses and lived nomadically, optimising my life, not for happiness or money, but for newness,” Woo added.

Woo quoted a neurosurgeon’s explanation of routine-induced time compression, who then asked X users to share their personal hacks on breaking daily patterns.

Woo is a leading cryptocurrency analyst known for his expertise in on-chain metrics, market commentary, Bitcoin network insights and price predictions.
